Car Ideas

Okay, I've managed to make the money to found my own motor company, a global network is already in progress and my goal is to set up an enthusiastic new brand quickly. How would I do it?

I would first start with several concept cars, each showcasing different designs and different models. Then gauge which receives the most attention and produce three more concepts including: A three door hatch, a large sedan and a crossover SUV that rides on the same platform. Mostly to show what direction the company is about to take.

Execution would be simple, develop one platform with two different sizes and two different front sub-frames. The sub-frames for changing the vehicle from front wheel drive to rear wheel drive, the sizes for different models. All pieces would be engineered to handle diesel, hybrid/electric and high output power trains. Cars with the large platform will be designated with platform code "L" and the shorter platform with "S". Cars with the FWD sub-frame will be designated "F" and rear drive sub-frame cars will be designated "R". All combination's are capable of AWD, though only the F cars will be capable of AWD all the time. Sub monikers: "e" electric, "h" hybrid, "a" permanent awd, "d" diesel.

Power train development would be an extremely versatile Inline 6 cylinder that could be heavily cross-adapted to use diesel or hydrogen. A larger V8 would be developed for luxury sedans and high-performance. The Inline 6 would be able to be shortened into 3- 4- or 5- cylinders. "t" and "s" monikers would be added to denote supercharged and turbocharged variations. The engine capacity would vary depending on applications but would never move to compete with the V8.

Global Product range would include the following, with select cars only appearing in certain markets:
